The German Jordanian University (GJU)

The GJU is a public university based in Jordan which offers programs modeled after the German universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulen). A one-year exchange program in Germany is an obligatory part of the study plans at the GJU, during which students spend a semester at a university and complete an internship in Germany.


The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) is an independent no-profit regional organization which aims to enable and increase the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency practices in the Arab region. RCREEE teams with regional governments and global organizations to initiate and lead clean energy policy dialogues, strategies, technologies and capacity development in order to increase Arab states’ share of tomorrow’s energy.


The Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) is registered as a Non-Governmental & Non-profit association (NGO), founded in 2006 as a result of an initiative by key water sector representatives in the Arab Region. Through its working groups, ACWUA will focus on the management of utilities, water resources management, water and health, utilities reform, benchmarking as well as capacity building and training.


The EMA is a German-Arab association that focuses on economic development cooperation. The EMA uses its vast network of contacts to create an exchange between the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Europe, especially Germany that furthers development and is beneficial for all.

Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion OFPPT, Morocco

OFPPT is a Moroccan public entity founded in 1974 as a prime operator in vocational training. Its network covers 327 training centers specialized in 273 professions.

OFPPT’s three major scale missions revolve around meeting companies needs and requirements in terms of skilled human resources, strengthening the skills of wage earners thanks to diversified continuing and on the job-trainings, and promoting the employability of young people by encouraging and supporting them to set up small and medium sized business.

As a major operator in the field of Vocational Training, OFPPT works to make of the development of youth skills an asset of national economic growth. Its major domains are main contract work, hotel and tourism industries, service industries, transport and logistics, and training schemes.

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the largest funding organization in the world, supporting the international exchange of students, scholars and researchers, with over 250 programs from internships to doctoral programs. The Cairo office is a point of contact for German students studying at Egyptian universities or Egyptian students interested in studying and researching in Germany.


KUBRI is a recruiting and contact fair with a particular focus on the countries of North Africa and the Middle East. KUBRI connects companies and educational institutions from Europe and the Arab world with potential employees, trainees, and students, interested in the professional and academic opportunities of the MENA region.

The German Science Centre Cairo (DWZ Cairo)

The German Science Centre Cairo (DWZ Cairo) provides German-Arab exchange in the fields of Science, Technology and Research. It contributes to the synergy of scientists in Germany and mainly Egypt, bringing together experts from academic institutions, researchers and representatives of industry and government.


German Arab Master's Programmes

The  growing population, environmental pollution, dwindling fossil energy resources, rapid urban growth and the increasing necessity for economic reforms are – next to the ongoing political transformation – the most urgent challenges in the MENA region (Near East and North Africa). Specialist knowledge, interdisciplinary approaches, intercultural skills and regional expertise are qualifications that are urgently required for sustainable development. The German Federal Government supports five German-Arab Master’s Programmes (GAMP) that are focusing on water management, renewable energy, education, economic reform and urban development.

An independent, non-profit organization legally registered and based in the United Kingdom and Lebanon. It is dedicated to the issues of the Arab scientific community and is managed by an independent Boards of Trustees and directors.


Center for Mediterranean Integration

The Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) is a multi-partner platform for dialogue and knowledge sharing for Mediterranean integration and transformative reform. CMI convenes partners and members to jointly identify solutions to inherent challenges in the Mediterranean region and facilitates their connection to change agents. The founding members of CMI are Egypt, France, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, the European Investment Bank and the World Bank.
